Brian Cain I am a Computer Science Masters student at Kansas State University. I got my undergraduate degree in Computer Science at Kansas State in 2012. I have enjoyed technology for all of my life, along with playing music as a secondary interest. I'm looking forward to working with the GK-12 program in the following months.
-
Paul Cain I'm a fellow going for the Master of Software Engineering program. I'll be working with Jennifer Nider and Lori Rice. I was born in Topeka and spent most of my life there. I got my bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Technology from Kansas State at Salina. The nice thing about Computer Systems Technology is that the math requirement only goes up to Calculus I. In the spring of 2011 I spent a semester studying at the University of Hyderabad in Hyderabad, India. I plan to study abroad again some day.
-
Denise Case I'm a chemical engineer from Kansas City working on advanced degrees in Software Engineering and Computing & Information Sciences. My interests include languages, cyber-physical systems, human-computer interfaces, and intelligent adaptive systems. My research includes a partnership with the Electrical and Computer Engineering department to develop an adaptive architecture that uses game theory and multiagent reasoning to support the the smart grid.
-
Joseph Dvorak I grew up on a primarily wheat and cattle farm in north-central Oklahoma between Perry and Stillwater, Oklahoma. I attended Oklahoma State University for my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees – majoring in Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering with an emphasis on mechatronics. I also received minors in Accounting, Agricultural Economics and German. After graduating from Oklahoma State University, I worked at Charles Machine Works, Inc. – manufacturers of the Ditch Witch brand of trenchers and underground construction equipment. I was a systems engineer, and I designed the electrical systems on ten different machine models. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Biological and Agricultural Engineering at Kansas State University.
-
Brian Dye I am a graduate student of Kansas State University in the Masters of Computer Science program. Originally I was an Aerospace engineering and Material engineering before finally finding my home in CIS, in particular language theory and translation.
-
Justin Frazier I'm a second year fellow studying Biosystems Engineering. My research involves taking geometric measurements of field crops using TOF cameras.
-
Joseph Heier I graduated with degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2013 from Kansas State University. I am now pursuing my Masters in Computer Science. My research interests include Formal Language Theory, Algorithm Analysis and Safety-Critical Software.
-
Emily Jordan Hello! This is my second year in the GK-12 program, and my second year in the master's program here at KSU. I'm from Beloit, KS, and currently live in Manhattan. I enjoy reading, programming, model rocketry, computers, and Controller Area Networks.
-
Spencer Kepley I am a student at Kansas State University pursuing a concurrent MS/BS in Biological and Agricultural Engineering. Prior to Manhattan, I lived in Chanute, Ks and worked on the family farm. My interests include sports, the outdoors, and hanging out with friends and family.
-
Brad Kurtz I am working on my Masters of Software Engineering (MSE). I got my undergraduate degree from K-State in 2008. My academic interests are game design and programming.
